Adoption Process

​

1. Complete an online adoption application for the animal(s) of your choice. ​Your application will be processed within 3 days. 

​

2. Once approved, we will contact you by phone to answer any questions that you may have. 

​

3. If the animal seems like a good match, we will schedule a meet 'n' greet!

​

4. If the meeting goes well, we will then schedule the adoption. This will take place at your home so we can ensure the animal is comfortable there and that resident pets are content with the new addition.

5. If all checks out fine, an adoption contract will be completed during this visit and the adoption fee collected.

Additional Information

​

• Applicants must be 21 years or older to adopt from NMAR. 

​​

• If at any point during the process, we feel the animal is not a good match for your home, we will contact you to consider other options. 

​​

• You will receive a copy of the animal's medical records at the time of adoption. 

​​

• The adoption fee can be paid by check, cash, or credit card. There is a 3% processing fee if paying by card.
